While hiking through the Plainsboro Preserve, I noticed this tree that had been damaged by beavers. In recent times, there has been an alarming amount of damage by the shore of the lake. An effort is underway to restore the trees felled by the local beaver population.

Need to get you to the lake in the woods behind my house. Don’t know if they are still there….did hunters do them in?….but there were several beaver dams and felled trees. Haven’t been back there this year myself. It’s kind of a nice little hike.
