Magnolia Tree

I was looking through some 4×5 chromes and came across a picture taken during magnolia season at Princeton University.  It was taken in April 1978 and still looks surprisingly good.  So I decided to scan it in my HP Scanjet 4890.  Only a couple of adjustments in Photoshop were deemed appropriate to help normalize the color and luminosity.

One reason I like this photograph is that my Calumet view camera was able to maintain the verticals using perspective controls.  In this case, a 215mm Caltar lens with an Acme shutter was used. Ektachrome 64: f32 @ 1/10 sec.
